Caroline Buckee, PhD, Associate Professor of Epidemiology together with several scientists around the world, including HDSI co-director Francesca Dominici, has published a letter in the journal Science to advocate for the access to population mobility data collected by private companies to evaluate measures of social distancing to slow the spread of COVID-19. The scientists agree that when aggregated, these data can help refine interventions by providing near real-time information about changes in patterns of human movement.
