HDSI is excited to announce the launch of four new research projects supported by the AWS Impact Computing Project at the HDSI. These projects span all three subject areas prioritized by the AWS collaboration, namely climate change/mitigation, food security, and social determinants of health. These new awards bring the total number of funded projects under the AWS sponsored research program to six. The result is a research “cluster” aimed at generating creative strategies and tools for accelerating solutions to address urgent global crises. The goal is to achieve meaningful and durable social impact by merging cutting edge data science research with the robust high performance cloud computing resources of AWS. We anticipate that additional projects will be supported under this unique academic-industry partnership.
