Surgical Data Science: Driving outcomes in robotic surgeries

How will the new data obtained from robots facilitate the emergence of novel fields of data science? Specifically, how can surgical robots contribute to the development of surgical data science?

Given that over 2 million surgeries are performed annually using surgical robots, entirely new datasets have become accessible. Surgery has a seemingly infinite constellation of variables that render the optimization of care unique for each type of surgery and every patient.

During this session, I will present prospects for novel research collaborations with surgeons, where you can leverage your data science expertise to publish in a new field and enhance surgical outcomes for patients.
