James Mickens
James Mickens is a professor of computer science at Harvard University. His research focuses on the performance, security, and robustness of web services and other datacenter-scale computations. Mickens received a B.S. degree in computer science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Michigan. Before coming to Harvard, he spent seven years as a researcher at Microsoft; he was also a visiting professor at MIT. At Harvard, he is a co-director of the Berkman-Klein Center for Internet and Society. He is also a Computer Science co-director of Harvard's Embedded EthiCS program.
