Generative AI for Graduate Students and Postdocs

Learn faster. Build smarter. Use AI responsibly. Network!

This workshop series provides a skill-focused hands-on introduction to various topics in Large Language Models (LLMs) and other Foundation Models, specifically designed for Harvard STEM students and researchers. Each workshop emphasizes practical use cases for academic work: building research assistants, automating data analysis, solving complex problems, ensuring responsible use, and understanding the technical foundations that enable these capabilities.

What you’ll learn

  • Hands-on learning: Workshops are interactive and code-focused, using Python and Google Colab.
  • Technical transparency: AI concepts are taught through simplified implementations and practical coding.
  • Responsible use: Practical ethical considerations, including privacy, bias, and environmental impact.
  • Modular design: Each session is self-contained, allowing flexible participation without prerequisites.
